The committee runs the society between general assemblies: it approves plans and reports, elects the presidium and decides on appeals in membership matters. It is elected for three years, and the current members serve for 2024–2027. Day-to-day business is handled by the presidium, which meets about six times a year, admits new members and prepares material for the committee.
