The Czech Immunological Society brings together scientists, physicians and teachers working in immunology. We organise seminars and conferences, publish the Immunological Bulletin, award prizes for the best work and support young immunologists at the start of their careers. We represent Czech immunologists in the international organisations IUIS and EFIS.
What we do
Seminars and conferences
Regular seminars, joint conferences with Czech allergologists and Slovak immunologists, and international events.
Awards
The Garnet Immunoglobulin and the Šterzl and Pospíšil prizes honour personalities and the best work of young scientists.
Young immunologists
The CYI group connects early-career scientists and is the Czech branch of the European yEFIS initiative.
Immunological Bulletin
News from the society and minutes of committee meetings, published electronically since 2018.
Cooperation
We work closely with the Slovak Immunological Society and the Czech Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology, with which we hold joint conferences. We are a member of IUIS and EFIS. Our seat is at the Institute of Microbiology of the CAS, part of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
